We had the pleasure of completing Helens course in 2009 at the tender age of 21.

At the time of doing the course we were building our first home. In November 2009, after completing the course we signed up our first investment property. Fast forward 12 months later and we’ve signed up our 7th property. We are now in the process of signing up our 9th deal- a tri-plex development. By the end of 2011 we will have 10 properties in total.

To go from building our own home to owning 10 properties in 2 years at the age of 22 is a testament to Helen and Ed, who taught us to “aim for the stars, but if you miss and hit the moon, that’s OK”. We have managed to achieve everything we wanted and more thanks to the help of our amazing mentors.

If it wasn’t for them we would still be paying off our house! The media says how hard it is to buy a home, let alone an investment property, yet we just completed construction on a capital growth property (which we have made $30,000 equity on already) that we borrowed 97% of the money for and after our tax returns is only costs us $300 per year! Anyone can afford less than $1 a day for an investment property.

Our tri-plex development, which we are doing in a joint venture, will see us come out with 2 cashflow units with no money down and potentially $200,000 in equity.

The only difference between us and the 'average person' is education. With the education that Helen and Ed provide we have been able to independently go out and purchase 10 properties in 2 years. During our mentor program, Helen and Ed were always there to bounce ideas off when we were doing a deal. They held our hands thru the process and made it stress free and not to mention we saved $20,000 on our first deal because of their ideas.

Now we are able to complete deals independent of Helen and Ed, thanks to their “teach people how to fish rather than give them the fish” psychology. However, if we ever need an opinion or an idea we know that Helen or Ed are a phone call away and are only too happy to help us.

Whatever your situation, we know that as long as you have the desire to achieve your property goals, Helen and Ed will be able to provide you with the tools and knowledge that will help you to achieve those goals.

We are so grateful to have met Helen and Ed and thanks to their help, we are now discussing what we will do in retirement, as we are on track to retire at the age of 25.

Having bought my first investment property… I learnt the damming effects of cross collateralization! Confusion and frustrated of working with bank mangers who are experts in their home loans and products.

I thought my accountants were good at what they did, but having read a number of books I realized their performance was mediocre, they got me tax returns, but I was always left wondering what I can do better.

I decided to invest in myself during the time that I needed to remove the cross collateralization. It started with a 3 day weekend boot camp, followed by 1 week property investing course which planted seeds of ideas, but resulted in limited actions, probably due to a lack of confidence.
